The session will provide a deep dive into monitoring the networking and transport layers within Db2 pureScale—particularly the RDMA-based private network that plays a critical role in delivering high availability and performance. We'll start with a recap of pureScale and its components, architecture, supported levels, then dive into the private network and key configuration recommendations. We will walk through the common topology, best practices for setup, and important host-side commands, including examples with Cisco switches. We'll look at how to monitor the health of the private network and the overall cluster—from practical tooling to interpreting key indicators. We'll also cover some basic problem determination commands with examples to help identify and troubleshoot issues.
