Attending IBM TechXchange 2025 in Orlando was an incredible experience. It was inspiring to see the latest developments in AI, blockchain, cloud, and fintech up close and to hear from experts and innovators driving change. I also had the opportunity to participate in a session exploring challenges and potential solutions around teaching and learning with AI, which was both insightful and energizing.

Here are some of the key takeaways that stood out to me:

1. AI as a Helper, Not a Replacement

AI is meant to support humans, not replace them. Human skills like judgment, ethics, and communication remain essential to guide technology effectively.

2. The Importance of Reskilling

Keeping up with technology means continuously learning new skills. Platforms like IBM SkillsBuild provide accessible resources to close talent gaps and prepare the workforce for the AI-driven future.

3. Collaboration Sparks Innovation

Engaging with students, developers, and faculty from around the world highlighted how collaboration fosters creative solutions. Different perspectives help turn challenges into opportunities.

4. Seeing Technology in Action

From AI-powered table tennis to Project Bob and the IBM-Claude partnership, witnessing emerging technologies in action emphasized the value of innovation-driven strategies.

Great synopsis Imran!  It was my first TechXchange so I focused on attending lab sessions.  Power VS, Red Hat OpenShift and the watsonx Orchestrate sessions were directly related to my employer's long term strategy.  I really enjoyed the watsonx and Project Bob demos and sessions.  The Anthropic AI deal will be a game changer for IBM in my opinion.
