Thanks for such a quick reply.

I have checked the url you gave its very nice.  I tried the same on the AIX(6.1) machine of our project it gives the following error.

    bash-3.2$ jextract /was_dump/core.20140127.133116.7798848.0004.dmp
    Loading dump file...
    Read memory image from /was_dump/core.20140127.133116.7798848.0004.dmp
Error. No known JVM found in dump.

Very very thanks for your help.

    fAiSal,

From WAS >= 6.1.0.33 and >= 7.0.0.15 you no longer need to run jextract on the core dump to use it in MAT (jextract is only needed for crashes).

You may still want to zip up the dump when transferring to the analysis machine (as happens when the dump is jextracted) since it will compress very well

I usually launch jextract from WAS_HOME\java\jre\bin where the core is generate

Take a look to next link
      www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=s...

Seems like you are running jextract against a corrupted core file
