The reason for this may be that you are running out of memory. When this error occurs, did the engine already start solving the problem? Do you see anything in the engine log? Can you post that here?

Without seeing your model and the engine log it is impossible to tell whether there is anything unusual about your model.
In general, it is not unexpected that solving an optimization problem may take a while. Keep in mind that these are NP hard problems.
