  • 1.  Trace Burst reports

    Hello everyone,

    We have a specific requirement to trace Burst reports. We need to track the recipient's email address, the name of the attached report, the timestamp of the sent report, and the status of the delivery.

    I have run some queries on the Audit tables (COGIPF_RUNREPORT and COGIPF_ACTION), but I have been unable to locate the necessary information. Does anyone have suggestions on how to achieve this using standard Cognos tools?

    German,

    If the bursting is enabled in the report you can configure the schedules to burst the report, so you will need to document the schedules to find some that are executing that way rather than just run in the background and burst on demand.  

    You'll also need to get the burst configuration, sometimes easily identifiable, sometimes requiring additional documentation of your packages and models (depending on what you have from creation, if anything).  

    For "standard tools" I would look at BSP MetaManager, https://www.bspsoftware.com/products/metamanager/ 
    All of that should be obtainable, with the exception of the delivery status.
