    The 2Q 2026 release of IBM® Modernized Runtime Extension for Java™ (MoRE) is now available as of today. This release delivers MoRE 1.0.3.0, with support for IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment (WAS ND) fix pack 9.0.5.28 and minimum Liberty version 25.0.0.12+.

    This release introduces expanded application technology support including EJB Support and Managed Liberty Servers (MLS) administration improvements while maintaining unified management of Java 8 and Java 17+ workloads in the existing WAS ND operational model, enabling modernization without disrupting operations.

    Release highlights include:

    • EJB support via Liberty features: enterpriseBeansLite-4.0, enterpriseBeansHome-4.0, enterpriseBeansRemote-4.0
    • Dynamic Clusters - Manual Mode
    • Enhancements to MLS administration, including:
      • Process execution settings for MLS
      • Customizable Liberty installation location
