SPSS Trial Login Error: "Already Used Trial" Despite Active Subscription

I downloaded IBM SPSS Statistics Subscription Trial () directly from the official IBM website, following the download instructions provided in the confirmation email. My My IBM account confirms the trial is active until August 5, 2026, with 1 installation available and 0 devices activated. However, when I attempt to log in with my IBM ID on the installed SPSS application, I receive the error: "Sorry, you have already used an IBM SPSS Statistics Digital trial on this machine." I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software multiple times, deleted local license cache files (including the SafeNet Sentinel license folder), checked the registry for leftover IBM entries, restarted my computer, and reinstalled the application fresh from the official installer - but the error persists every time. I would like to note that this laptop was purchased second-hand and has since been fully reformatted; I have never personally installed or activated any IBM SPSS trial before this attempt. It is possible the hardware ID of this machine was flagged by a previous owner's trial activation, which a standard reformat would not reset since this record appears to be stored on IBM's servers rather than locally. I would appreciate your assistance in verifying and, if possible, resetting the machine-level activation lock so I can proceed with my active trial.

    Anyone faced similar issue?

    Hi @Sharifah Othman
Because of the Privately Identifying Information (I removed from above) necessary to troubleshoot this issue, it will be best for you to open a Licensing case with SPSS Statistics Support

See Opening an SPSS Licensing case

    In Step 2, select "Other".
Ultimately, I think we will want to gather your machine ID information and research the history.
