  • 1.  Regarding IHS 8.5 to 9.0 migration

    Hello team, our client would like to upgrade IBM HTTP Server from version 8.5 to 9.0. The IHS web servers are serving traditional WebSphere and Liberty nodes comprising of multiple versions in the backend. Both on Linux and Windows based platforms
     
    I have 2 questions for now ->
    1) What are the dependencies for IHS 8.5 to 9.0 migration ?
    2) Which WAS and Liberty versions are compatible with IHS 9.0 ? 
    3) Do we need to update WAS plugins as well as part of IHS upgrade?

    I don't think there are any meaningful dependencies.

    All versions and releases that are in support include IHS 9.0 and are compatible.
    > 3) Do we need to update WAS plugins as well as part of IHS upgrade?
    Yes, upgrade as well.
    At the moment, the mixed releases of IHS and PLG will interoperate, but it is not necessarily true in the future.

    What are the dependencies of GSKit and IHS versions ? Is there any compatibilty matrix between the two ? Will it factor when upgrading from IHS 8.5 to 9.0 ?

    It's not of any concern, GSKit is bundled inside of IHS.
