Hello All,

I have a primary server with an RSS Secondary, both using version 11.70.FC8. 

As far as I know, these servers must be identical (including version - minor and major release). But I would like to confirm:

Is it possible to upgrade the primary to version 12.10 and the RSS secondary remain with version 11.70? Also, if someone have any clear documentation on that subject, would be very helpful.

Hi Celso.
Yes for RSS same role as any other HADR specifications, versions releases shiuld be same.
If you want to keep them different you should use ER. That will also enable you to upgrade one of the nodes keeping the other online.

Celso:

No, both the primary and any secondaries, whether HDR, RSS, or SDS, must be on the same version.

There is a way in v14.10 to do a rolling upgrade of secondaries, but not run that way, but that's not even possible in 11.70.
