    At the moment we don't have any defined date, but the las announcement points the release of the S1112 to the first quarter of 2026... we expect news soon.

    I'm hoping your prediction is valid.  IBM is pulling the Power 10's from Marketing in a few months.  Currently excluded from withdrawal from marketing the the S1012 half wide Power 10.  I'm hoping it's not because the half wide Power 11 is lagging behind.

    If you need a full width system, I would not wait and buy a S1014. In most cases the Power10 P05 model will be sufficient anyway. If you need Power11 capabilities, then most probably you'll have to switch to half width. At least this is what was told at Power11 announcement time.

    Even if somebody knew the announcement date for the P05 follow-on model, one is not allowed to post it in public communities (and no, I do NOT know the date 🙂).

    If you're buying a system because you are a software vendor and not only do you want to be able to support the latest version of IBM i but you also want to support the next latest version of IBM i, I would definitely NOT order a Power 10.  Because, for supporting rNext of IBM i, it will be obsolete in under 3 years.  IF IBM keeps up the pattern shown at  Upgrade planning - Future hardware
