  • 1.  Move ILMT installer location from /root/ILMT_installer to /tmp

    Currently the ILMT installer is using /root/ILMT_installer on the root filesystem. If that filesystem fills up the system can stop functioning, Can we move the installer to /tmp ?

    According to the Linux installation scenario:

    the installer gets downloaded by means of the "Download IBM License Metric Tool" fixlet:

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/license-metric-tool?topic=analyses-list-fixlets-tasks

    As explained in documentation, that location is "/[user]/ILMT_installer" which defaults to "/root/ILMT_installer" because of the root account used by the BigFix client:

    You may move the installer downloaded and run it from another location if the filesystem is not mounted with the "noexec" flag.
