    Hi,

    I have to monitor WebSphere Application Server (8) through a MBeans/JMX. I've managed to sucesfully connect to the JVM and I can see MBeans - but only the standard Java stuff:



    Is it possible to invoke IBM's MBeans through the same connection? I need to use RMI as I'm using Zabbix for this project...

    Hi Chrisfb,

       Yes is possible.

       Here an example:

      I don't know how is configure zabiix, but maybe you need to put in your classpath WAS 8 adminclient jars? you can  look at the link.

    Hi,

    Thanks - seen that link. The problem is with... IIOP. I can't force Zabbix to use IIOP. I have to use regular RMI :(

    Anyway, will see what can be done there.
