  • 1.  Merging RACF db: prevent adjustments of OMVS uids

    Hi I'm trying to merge 2 RACF db's but I'm struggling to prevent updates of the user omvs segment UID value.

    I don't want the merge to generate updates for the UID value because we keep the DB's in sync with RRSF and each db has it's own range for UID values.

    Is there any mergerule I can specify for this?

    Hi Luc

    You could try to ignore all OMVS segments, and fix them after the merge.  This is achieved by globally excluding these:

    EXCLUDE SEGMENT=OMVS
    MERGE
    ...
    ENDMERGE
