  • 1.  ILMT server diskspace clean up

    I would like to clear up space for ILMT server as it's running out of space soon. Just wondering which of the following can be removed safely.

    (1) /var/opt/BESClient/LMT/VMMAN

    (2) /var/opt/BESClient/LMT/VMMAN/upload

    Hello,

    Those *_vmman.tar.gz files can be safely removed.
    As you can see those from '../VMMAN/upload' folder are meaningless as far as the size is concerned.
    Leave the icudt49l.dat file as it it...it's vital for BigFix agent processing.

    The first place where you should look for the file system 'cloggers' is the ILMT server logs folder (and corresponding subfolders): '/opt/ibm/server/wlp/usr/servers/server1/logs'
    First check if the existing log files are not bigger than let's say couple of MB.
    If they are it could suggest that current log level is set to DEBUG (there is no need to have the tema/import logs in debug mode unless there is some troubleshooting going on).
    Next verify how old are those log files...no need to have the tema/import logs older than let's say one month.
    At last, compression of those old log files is the way to go...
