Our Cloud Architects are asking the below question about Scan Relays.
We could not find any documentation on it.

Can a Scans Relay communicate with another Scans Relay?

We are interested in if the following flow/architecture is feasible and supported.
Scans Relay --> 443 --> Scans Relay --> 9081 --> ILMT app server
Scans Relay --> 443 --> ^^^^^
Scans Relay --> 443 --> ^^^^^
Scans Relay --> 443 --> ^^^^^

We are envisioning a Scans Relay would be a center spoke.
Other Scans Relays would be sending their data too this center spoke.
That center spoke would then forward the scanned results to the ILMT server,

If this flow of the Scans Relay is possible:
- Are there any 'warnings' that haven't been considered with this approach?
- Are the installation requirements similar still then?
- What about configuration(s), any changes/tweaks different?
- How many can be 'chained' together? (more of a curiosity question)

I don't see any reasons why it couldn't.

Not to my knowledge.

Not to my knowledge.

LMT_SERVER_API_TOKEN needs to contain RELAY_TOKEN of the subsequent relay.
LMT_SERVER_URL needs to contain URL of the subsequent relay.

- How many can be 'chained' together? (more of a curiosity question)
Infinite.
