How to set HTTP headers while making Load Balancer Group health check calls

  • 1.  How to set HTTP headers while making Load Balancer Group health check calls

    Posted 10/15/20 10:32 AM

    hi Team,

Kindly let me know if there is a way to set a HTTP Header while making a health check call from Load Balancer Group. The backend server exposes health responder. It listens over HTTP GET and requires a HTTP header (HOST) to be passed.

    Thanks

    Krishna

    Hi,

    you can try the following:

    1. Create a new LB group and define the necessary health check configurations
    2. Attach the newly created LB group into the XML manager that your service communicating with the LB group is using
    3. Edit the user agent attached to the XML manager and add Inject Header policy/policies that match your LB group members
