Hi @Estefano Souza, there is no minimum system specification for using GENOSTAT. However, as with any program that attempts to process very large data, the more memory on one's system, the better.
Best,
Curtis

Thank you for the answer, @Curtis Browning.
One last question: is there any minimum hardware specifications for Genomic Analysis in SPSS Statistics (used during the IBM internal tests, for example)?

Hi @Estefano Souza, sorry you experienced difficulty with large .fastq files. Most likely your system ran out of memory while trying to process the large file. We are currently working on a solution whereby very large files will be broken down into smaller pieces so that machines with insufficient memory can still process these large files. We hope to have that solution ready by the 32.0.1 release in September.
Best regards,
Curtis
