    Hi,
    is anyone using DQM over relational data sources (no DMR) and taking advantage of in-memory caching?

    We tested it and could not take advantage of user shared cache, i.e. it always called database.

    yes, this concerns Data Modules. We are still using Framework Manager. It is not working for the same user.

    Good Afternoon Josef,

    I hope that your day is going well.  We deploy our data modules from Framework Manager using DQM.  Framework Manager is the best tool to quickly massage the data across the enterprise in a uniform manner.  Just install FM for in-memory caching.  It has a separate configuration.  The Cognos support team would be able to assist you in installing it.  I would always recommend using FM for more than 5 users.

    Hi Elihu,
    I am well, hope you too. I have been using Cognos and Framework Manager couple of years. The thing is we do not use Data Modules (due missing multi language feature). We are using only Framework Manager and we have solely relational model (not DMR). We have tried to take advantage of DQM couple of times, but cache sharing has never worked. I am looking for someone who has a project where DQM cache is working over relational FM package.

    ...I am uncertain of the multi-language issue or errors that you are encountering.  Our FM is connected to a SQL Server relational DB.  The FM is configured for DQM by default - 11.0.9.  Sorry if I am not fully tracking the root causes of your problem.

    For DQM, in-memory cache works only for DMR.

    DQM and CQM has local cache that reuses results, but not cache of dimensional elements, members, etc.

    It is documented
