  • 1.  Download Academic version of ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio

    I am able to download the software through the acedamic initiative, but when I open it on my computer it states that it is a community version. How can I solve this? Because I need the academic version to solve my problem.

    This is weird. Can you confirm your PATH variable goes through the academic initiative's installation directory?

    Hello,

    As mentioned by @Renaud Dumeur , we need to check your PATH. I also need more context to help you:

    - What is your platform ?
    - What is the name of the installer you downloaded / executed?
    - Please make sure that you downloaded the AI version from https://www.ibm.com/academic/home

    I downloaded the software via the link: https://www.ibm.com/academic/topic/data-science, here I selected software and chose ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio. Next I clicked on download. I work with a Microsoft Laptop (Windows 10), so I chose the right software to download: ILOG_CPLEX_OS_20.10_WIN_X86_64.exe.

    Ok then I confirm that this installer installs the full unlimited edition.

    Can you please click on the "Start" menu, then look for "Add or remove programs" and make sure that you uninstall the community edition ?
    It just looks like you have both versions installed on your machine and when you try to run CPLEX you run the CE version.

    If it still does not work, can you also please run the CPLEX Studio that you identified as community edition, then
    in menu "Help" -> "About IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio", click "Installation Details",
    go to the Configuration tab, copy the configuration and past it here ?
