Distill task operation, 'Excel to Tririga' mapping: Update multiple records fails

  • 1.  Distill task operation, 'Excel to Tririga' mapping: Update multiple records fails

    Posted 09/30/20 09:23 PM

    Hi everyone! Please help me:

Is it possible to update a number of existing records in TRIRIGA through distill operation with 'Excel to Tririga' Excel worksheet set up?

What im trying: Have Populated from Tririga Excel, with Fields:

    KeyField Field2

    1 val21

    2 val22

Populate task worked with records having 'selected' association with Parent Record

so, have 2 child records associated to parent with 'Selected' and data of these records on the worksheet in Excel

In Excel given i changed Field2 values

    KeyField Field2

    1 val21'

    2 val22'

Then, sent Excel to Binary field where Distill task operating through workflow set up on 'on change' action for binary field.

After 'Distill' task execution for multiple records from Excel i got exception:

'java.lang.Exception: Field map to existing record can reference only one value'

'Tririga object map' sheet contains following mapping:

    Excel To tririga

    Selector Selected triRecordIdSY Module BO

    Field RecordInformation 'ExcelSheet'!B2 'ExcelSheet'!B3

    End Selector

    End

If i'll change it to like this:

    Excel To tririga

    Selector Selected triRecordIdSY Module BO

    Field RecordInformation 'ExcelSheet'!B2

    End Selector

    End

It will work out, but results in Tririga will be:

    KeyField Field2

    1 val21'

    2 val21'

As i figured out, i succeded with getting Child records through 'selected' association on Selector tag

but still failing with updating each taken tririga record separately.

Instead the new value for each record still being the value of first record in selector range.

Well, i read manuals, thats quote from 'Selector' tag description

"This tag is similar to the Association tag except that no new child records are created. Instead, the Selector finds existing records associated to the parent so they can be modified. Field tags within the Selector tag define how data in the Excel spreadsheet will be mapped into the child records found by the Selector"

... so they can be modified, but how? Just can't solve this...
