Absolutely, CKFREEZE data sets are sequential in nature, the CKFCOLL program writes the data once, and CKRCARLA reads these files sequentially.
Note that zSecure runs in ISPF and mounting tapes (even virtual tape) requires the MOUNT privilege in TSO, so if you wish to use the ISPF based analysis you will have to permit TSOAUTH MOUNT to these teams.
Many customers have a smaller CKFREEZE data set (without the HSM BCDS and without UNIX files, maybe even without the majority of VTOC/VVDS information) for use under TSO, and larger files for compliance reports in batch jobs.
zSecure 2.4 contains an enhancement that helps the customer understand the contents of the CKFREEZE (the record types and the number of bytes per record type), so they can selectively suppress/switch off collection of these record types. This is implemented as an L line command in front of the CKFREEZE dsname, from ISPF options SE.1 and IN.F.
