  • 1.  C2P0268E due C2PCUST putting member line 2 in column 1 (not column 2) after each Verify and Refresh

    Posted 02/19/26 07:35 AM

    Having verified and activated a configuration member, it keeps putting the 2nd line in column 1 and not column 2.

    option smtpclass=B smtpwriter=SMTP smtpatsign=@                     <<----- this lines starts in column 1 - all other lines start in column 2
     option tcp_keepalive_interval=0060
     suppress idle_tcp_connect

     This causes the C2POLICE to fail, issuing many C2P0268E messages. We have tried to create a new config member, but the same thing occurs.

    Is there a fix for this ?

    Hello Robert,

    The indentation of that line of CARLa code in the alert configuration member is normal.

    I suspect the cause of C2P0268E is because your C2POLICE proc has the PPARM parameter pointing at the alert configuration CARLa member instead of the parameter member suffixed with P - <alert_config>P

    In my system, my alert configuration is called T8010 and my C2POLICE proc contains:

    //  PPARM=T8010P               C2POLICE parameter member <setname>P

    Please check that and open a case with IBM Support if problems persist.

    Also note, there is a separate Community about Security for Z where zSecure and CARLa are the staple diet.
