Hi, 

today i tested a simple tools of my mcpserver from my IBMi:

commands_allowed_for_users_with_limited_capabilities

the answer fantastic, well formed, with a lot of informations,  and very interesting. The mcpserver on IBMi I think open the door to AI on IBMi. 

But I'm a bit worried about bobcoins consuming:



For a simple answer it cost me 2.26.

I don't know but it seems very expensive.

what do you think about?

Hi Paolo. I think it's very expensive. I consumed USD 20 of credit in just 2 hours, only analyzing a Smalltalk model through an MCP. With Claude, with the same budget, I can work for an entire month.

However, the analysis it performed, the refactoring suggestions, the understanding of the model, and the documentation generated were all of very high quality.

Hi,

I got the same experience when trying to use MCP.

It would be nice to get an idea of the cost before we run a request. just like when it asks for authorization, it should give an approximate estimation of cost.

if we judge it to be too expensive, we might try another prompt.

I made the very same experience, when using it with our MCP server.

The Bobcoins get consumed with an astronomic speed for very simple activities.
Is it related to the mode "Advanced" required to use an MCP server?
