My organization is looking for a system to manage various types of municipal legal agreements (not only maintenance agreements/contracts). We want to assess if our existing Maximo MAS implementation is a candidate for this.

We need to be able to associate multiple parties (Maximo vendors/companies) with a single contract. All parties have signed exactly the same contract/terms.

Is there a way to associate multiple parties/vendors/companies with a single contract in Maximo?

I'm not currently a Maximo user, so feel free to correct my terminology.

As far as I can tell from poking around in Maximo, this isn't possible.

This is not possible, out of the box, as far as I know. While you can make steps in this direction using in-Maximo tools, there will be limitations that you may not be able to overcome without customization. For example, you could make your own child table to capture all the vendors who have signed the contract, but if you try to make a Release PO from that contract, out of the box code is going to use the out of the box field on the contract to set the vendor on the PO.

There are several types of contracts in Maximo. Did you have a certain one in mind?

Hi User1971 - Create a Master Contract against a Vendor with a type of Internal then from Master Contracts application you can create the type of contract that you wish and you can change the vendor on that contract, but it is still tied back to the Master Contract. The Master Contract is the place to put the terms and conditions.
