    Hi All,

Currently, under the IBM/SMP/Maximo/deployment/was-liberty-default folder, there is a build command for ui and maximo-x war files but there is not one for maximoanywhere.

Are there any plans to support Anywhere 7.6.4 and Liberty? Are there manual instructions on how to accomplish this?

    Thanks

    Hi Glen,

Maximo 7.6.4 architecture has changed and there is no mobilefirst server in between the apps and Maximo anymore.

Here below is an useful link to read about the new architecture:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/maximo-anywhere-v764-system-architecture-and-components

So, there would not be any liberty app server support for Anywhere apps.

    Biplab,

    Thanks for your response.

I'm aware that MobileFirst server and Liberty are no longer supported with Maximo Anywhere 7.6.4 and everything is built into the ear.

However, starting with Maximo 7.6.1 IBM added support to allow Maximo to run on Websphere Liberty and I'm looking for support in running Maximo 7.6.1.1 with Anywhere 7.6.4 installed as a maximo application server. Out of the box maximo provides a buildmaximoui-war command file but not a buildmaxanywhere-war command file. https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/maximo-asset-management-761-websphere-liberty-support

Will this be a supported configuration?

    Hi Glen,

I have not done Maximo 7.6.4 yet but I am preparing for one.
With the current knowledge and understanding , it is clear that there is no Mobilefirst and so there is no runtime (which is the MaximoAnywhere.war file).
Apps are built and deployed into Maximo directly during build apps or from the Maximo's Anywhere Administration application manually. Maximo Anywhere administration does the job of Maximo Anywhere runtime.
Please refer to this blog for more info:

    Thanks,

    Hi Glen,

What guys are trying to say... You don't need to run anything specific to run Anywhere on WS Liberty.
    - There are no war files for Anywhere
    - Anywhere applications are running against Maximo itself
    - If you have Maximo running on Liberty - you already HAVE Anywhere running as well as they are one system now :)

Please read documentation on the Anywhere 7.6.4 architecture. It will everything clear for you.

    Regards,
    Alexey

    Hi Glen,

You are right !! Maximo Anywhere war file is now built into Maximo EAR itself for Anywhere 764 like how we have maximouiweb, meaweb war components. While this Maximo EAR built with Anywhere is deployed, it can be accessed with context root (/MaximoAnywhere). Though in app, we enter maximo URL only - i believe this is required for app updates, adapters etc..,

There is a buildmaximoanywhere-war.cmd in SMP/maximo/deployment folder to generate this war file for normal Websphere ND deployment. Normally this is what invoked in Maximo EAR build scripts also at the time of Maximo EAR build.

But couldnt find separate war file build for Anywhere to deploy in liberty like how we have for other components in websphere liberty deployment folder.
