PyBay 2020 (Virtual)

 View Only
Starts:  Aug 15, 2020 09:00 AM (PT)
Ends:  Aug 17, 2020 05:00 PM (PT)

PyBay is the San Francisco Bay Area’s annual regional Python conference, build by the community for the community:

”We’ve been saying all along that human connection is critical in this digital dependent world. With the restrictions imposed by Covid-19, our focus has turned to creating an online conference that is educational, inspiring, and social! On August 15–17, use PyBay’s virtual platform as an excuse to reconnect with folks or make new connections. Attend talks together to learn about the latest development in Python, celebrate Covid-19’s backend heroes, or ditch the scheduled programs and start your own round table discussions, mentor other folks, play some music with friends… Experience the awesome community Python devs talk about and help reinvent how we gather and collaborate with each other in this new era!”

Here at the IBM Data Science Community, we are extra proud to once again support PyBay and our local Python community, this year as one of their Diversity & Inclusion sponsors.

Great program, speakers, activities! Tickets are very affordable and still available. Check it out and take advantage of this unique opportunity to join from anywhere in the world and spend a weekend mingling with the SF crowd.

A number of IBMers will be participating. For example, Rohit Mujumdar, one of our IBM Research interns, will be giving a lightning talk on Sunday. And don’t miss Monday afternoon’s hands-on workshop with IBM Data Science & AI Developer Advocate Upkar Lidder on detecting and removing bias from your ML pipelines.

See you there!
