Legend duplicating itself in chart editor

I am using SPSS Statistics 27 on a MacBook Pro with BigSur version 11.4. When I use the chart editor in SPSS to modify the colors or patterns of pie pieces in a pie chart, the legend duplicates itself and all variables are shown twice rather than once in the legend. I cannot delete any of the variables in the legend, as they seem to be tied to their duplicate, so if I delete one instance of the duplicated variable name, the other one also disappears. (I am changing the pie piece colors/patterns manually because the greyscale template's colors are too similar to one another when more than four pie pieces are displayed.) Might anyone know how to resolve this problem? I attached the current pie chart with this issue. This has also happened to me previously with other graphs. Thanks for possible solutions/work arounds.

Hi Kris. I am unable to reproduce the EPS you posted using Statistics v28.

    1. Are you changing the fill or the stroke (border) on the pie wedges?
    2. Do you select the pie wedges in the legend or on the pie itself?
    3. Can you post or send an example of the syntax you use to create pie charts that behave this way?

    Best,
