I don't have a solution for the bad mouse or screen behavior, but I want to point out that you can do almost everything strictly with the keyboard (designed this way to support blind users). Almost all menus and dialog controls have a hot key that is indicated by an underlined letter, so, for example, in the Descriptives dialog, pressing alt+O or the equivalent on the Mac would open the Options subdialog. And Alt+a Alt+e Alt+d would open the Descriptives dialog.
And the Tab key in a dialog will move the focus from control to control.
This is not as easy as mousing, but it is actually faster in most cases.

Subject: mouse will not click on SPSS functions or open files correctly
I am a student and access the university online SPSS package through a citrix workspace app on my desktop computer. The main current problem with the SPSS stats package is that my mouse will not click on SPSS functions or open files correctly (My mouse is working fine with all other programs and I have had Dell check my hardware, which has all appropriate drivers downloaded and is working fine). At times I can get limited function by using the up, down keys, but this only works up to a point. I have tried trouble shooting the citrix app but the problem now is that when I open SPSS it does not open to full screen and then cannot be maximised. As well, when I try and drag the screen to s second monitor half of the screen blacks out. So there may be two problems - one with SPSS functionality and the other with resolution? My university does not troubleshoot SPSS problems. Your thoughts and solutions would be greatly appreciated - Kate
