Thanks for the feedback Jon
I am trying to carry out EFA and CFA on ordinal data using SPSS and I am struggling with the steps involved. Please, can you kindly point me to a tutorial on how to get the polychoric matrix and then carry out EFA.
Secondly, I am unable to install SPSSINC_HETCOR. It returns the message below
1 extension(s) installed, 0 extension(s) updated and 0 extension(s) uninstalled with 1 failure(s).
I have installed the R plugin (I have R3.6 for SPSS 27), it seems I need the python plugin but cannot seem to identify it from the list on the extensions window. Please, What could be the cause of the failure to install HETCOR?
Thank you
Yoma

Subject: How to perform Polychoric Correlation Matrix in SPSS
The online sites have been reorganized, and it is a bit difficult to find the R Essentials at the moment.
Look here:
You will first need to install the appropriate version of R for your Statistics version and then you need to install the SPSSINC HETCOR extension command via the Extensions > Extension Hub menu.

Hello everyone,
This is Simon. I am currently running a data set that require the use of polychoric correlation matrix.
I have found that there should be a plugin for SPSS, but I have to install the 'IBM® SPSS® Statistics - Essentials for R' first.
Suppose, from the website of IBM (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSLVMB_23.0.0/spss/programmability_option/howto_get_r_plugin.html), there is a link for download the plugin. However, the link is 'dead' !
May I know how can I get the plugin of 'IBM® SPSS® Statistics - Essentials for R' ?
Thank you guys !!
