  • 1.  R package included in SPSS 28

    Posted Fri November 12, 2021 06:15 AM

    Hello,

since a few days I am using SPSS 28.
I always had a Problem in SPSS performing an analysis of a competing risk regression (only a simple Kaplan-Meier was available).
So I used another tool for analyzing the risks for Relapse or Mortality after HSCT f.e.

So I was very satisfied when i read that a R is already included in SPSS 28.
I added the R extension for SPSS and loaded the R-packages.

It looked out fine but when I try to start the new feature under "AnaIysis – Survival -  competing risks regression" got an error-message:

The R cnprsk package is required but could not be loaded.

Is still something missing? Any ideas?

     Best, Peter

Did you reinstall the extension with V28? That should install the required R library along with the package - cmprsk.  There is, BTW, an update to the extension command that has not yet made it to the Extension Hub.  You can get it here
and install with Extensions > Install Local Extension Bundle.

If that still gives you the error message for a missing package, do this.
First, install the recently posted extension command
    STATS PACKAGE INSTALL.
That will appear on the Extensions message.  Use it to install the cmprsk package.

If something blocks that install, there should be an explanatory message in the Viewer.
