Computing Marginal Elasticities in a Negative Binomial Regression Model

  • 1.  Computing Marginal Elasticities in a Negative Binomial Regression Model

I have run a negative binomial regression model in SPSS. However, the GUI does not offer any options to generate marginal analysis, or elasticities. Can someone direct me to a resource that explains (a) either what syntax or commands to submit in SPSS to get elasticities, (b) or what steps to take to manually compute the elasticities using the existing GUI? Any help will be most appreciated.

Check if the following link helps.

In my opinion, what you need to do is to run the regression between (%change in X) and (%change in Y). Get the coefficient, which will be your elasticity.
