Getting a variety of error messages: "The file is in the directory C:\Program Files\(x86)\IBM\SPSS\Amos\26 Amos does not have permission to write in that directory. must be in a directory where AMOS is permitted to write". Every time I attampt to Analyze, I get more variety of Error messages. If it's not one thing, it's another. Any suggestions?

    Hi Frederick,

The Amos Graphics program will attempt to write its intermediate files to the path where you loaded your path diagram file (*.amw).  Generally speaking, end users should not be writing to the Amos installation directory.  Instead, place your data and path diagram files into a path you control, such as your 'Documents' folder.  If you load your path diagram from a location you control, you should have no trouble with Amos writing back its intermediate and output files to that same location.

Dear David, I also have the same problem... apologies for asking, but could you please be more specific... what do you mean by ... 'path diagram files...' ? I understand that i should place them in another folder, but i don't understand which files  you are referring to...Thank you in advance.

Just go to file menu and go to save as option and save your current working file in any desired location..then you will be good to go
