  • 1.  Likert scale and score diffrences

    Hi,
I am new to SPSS and would like to ask quick question. I am writing my master thesis and I recently published an questionnaire based on Likert scale (1-5).

Questionnaire is about attractiveness and willingness to travel to presented destinations in the questionnaire. I calculated means with T test for one sample, and now I need to see which destinations are statistically different than the middle of Likert scale which is 3, in terms of willingness to travel there and the attractiveness of the destination.

    EXP:
Bali scored 4.10 on attractiveness and 4.20 on willingness to travel there. How do I check if Bali's means is statistically different than middle of Likert Scale (3)?

Thank you for answers and for your time!

    Best regards,
    Piotr

    Hi.

Look up One-Sample t-Test. Set the null hypothesis value (in the dialog it's called "Test Value") = 3.
