I wanted to talk about this in a blog post, but blogging on this platform requires approval and I'd rather not waste the time of moderators here when other people could have that opportunity.
This concept taken to another game, League of Legends, could be talked about here with the countless .GG TLD sites that have been cropping up every day since the success of OP.GG - which takes data from the LoL API to give us all sorts of info on what's happening in game based on its data, but I think Oldschool Runescape and its most popular client "Runelite" is far more interesting.

Runelite, which most of the OSRS playerbase uses, is (allowing us to opt-into) tracking our game-stats to help the Oldschool Runescape Wiki. This includes tracking all drops, times (of boss kills, experience rates per hour, and minigames/activities), and probably some other stats.

I think this is cool, as it allows the OSRSWiki to collect a large amount of data, to format into nice tables for their pages. It'll help them provide a better service to the players, for the players.

Any thoughts on this from the data pros?
