When licensing your IBM SPSS software without an internet connection, or when a firewall is preventing access to the IBM SPSS License server, there is an email service which allows you to send a preformatted email to obtain a license code. Prior to May 19, 2020, this service experienced intermittent delays and unexpected outages. We have worked hard to improve this service. It is now faster, reliable and has improved instructions and messaging.
What will change for you?
- the steps for you to activate your license via email, using the License Authorization Wizard, will remain the same.
(make sure to use the "web mail" option and manually copy/paste the template in an email. )
- once your email has been sent, the processing will be immediate and you can expect an email with your license key within a few minutes
- in case of failure, we will send you the likely cause why the activation failed and we will give you next steps to correct
- if you tried to activate via email before May 19, 2020 and have not yet received a license key, please resend your email and it will be processed immediately
