Hey RG, We were hoping you would attend the meeting to be part of the discussion. As Jimmy mentioned, there is nothing out of the box to allow for parametrized variables in a Column Map definition. One workaround that was brought up which may work for you is to employ the export/import utilities ...

Hey RG, I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'best rollback options' for Inserts and Loads since you are running these processes to ideally complete successfully? A Rollback will just undo any DB changes made since the last commit point and will not necessarily undo all the changes applied. ...

I'm working on a new Access Definition which will execute an Archive Action to invoke a stored procedure housed in a different DB Alias than the tables being archived in the AD. Is there a way to override the value of the DB Alias used in the archive action if it differs from the Default DB Alias?? ...

Agreed this issue has nothing to do with the User ID against the source DB. It sounds like Binod did look in Optim and is not seeing the Archive Request or the Archive Collection. We have used Optim for years and never had objects just vanish from the Directory. Therefore, this usually means one of two ...

Another option is to CONVERT the date column in your Extract SQL. Not sure what the source data DBMS is, but most of them have ways to CONVERT date and time fields. A way to manipulate Optim to allow this is via a UNION ALL on the same table whereby the top part of the Union generates zero rows ...

Some updates on this issue: 1. I was able to isolate the root cause as Optim wanting *all* of the archive files in a collection to be freshly imported into v11.7. Importing just some of the files won't work and Attunity will still run scans on all the archive files in the collection. 2. Optim ...

We recently cut over from Optim z/OS v11.3 to v11.7 for both Data Growth and TDM. We migrated Optim objects by making a copy of the v11.3 Directory DB and its contents. We then used the installation upgrade panels to upgrade all the Optim objects in the new, copied Directory DB in DB2 and it becomes ...

Your issue could be related to not using a numeric value for your SEQuence. The quotes around the number make it alphanumeric when it should be an integer. Try this: PROP(SEQ(32324322, 1)) Hope this helps.... ------------------------------ Keith Tidball Progressive Insurance --- ...

If you are not going to license ODM, then the only way you can view data in an Optim file is by using the Optim GUI to connect to it and then you may browse the contents. Beyond that, you can always load the file contents to a database or convert to a .csv file (in some cases) and then do whatever you ...

Open Data Manager (ODM) and Optim Connect are needed to view an archive file or collection via Optim Connect Thin Client (ODBC/JDBC DSN) . Not sure it will work on Extract or Compare files. However, I don't think ODM works without Optim Data Growth on the machine in question where the archive files are ...

It may depend on the DBMS and the method you're using to authenticate on the connection string. For example, when I connect to SQL Server using ODBC DSN, I select integrated Windows authentication in the DSN definition. This then uses the current credentials from the machine you're logged onto (client ...
