Hi Jennifer,
I've attached a document to show how you can accomplish the formatting of various IGC display screens, using the special '$' queries within IGC. The examples I've put in the doc address your specific question related to columns, but you can also format other screens such as the table listings, and view columns by using the appropriate named queries as specified in the doc. I haven't found any documentation on IBM's site describing how to use these queries, but attended a technology session where someone presented the concept of these special queries. We've used them at my company to format the displays as you are seeking to do.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Scott

Subject: Display Options in IGC for Information Assets
How do I change the way lists are displayed for Information Assets - for example if I am in the information asset "Database Table" there is a list of "Database Column" assets that are related to that table. All I see is the name of the column. What if I would like to see the Name, Data Type, Length or other attributes related to database column in the list? Where do I change that?
