    Hello.
I have Informix 14 FC8 on Windows Server.
All works great, but when server is starting i see message in log file to all my chunks:

Warning: stat() failed for chunk file...

    How I can fix it?

    HI,

    Check the chunk files exist.

Check the permissions on the chunk files and all folders related to the chunk files.

    Regards,

    David.

Known defect in Windows, with chunks >2GB (APAR IT34407) -> fixed from 14.10.xC9 onwards.

Message (warning) can well be ignored.

    Hi Alexander

That doesn't look good. If you are adamant that the Instance has been operational previously then I suspect all your chunks files are present with correct ownership and permissions. David still has a valid point in that a sanity will eliminate this from the equation.

I sense disk level corruption. Does onstat -d  show all chunks as being online? Is it possible for you to post the full error message as it appears in the Message Log are there any clues in the Console Log?  Does the error generate any Assert Failure files?

I suspect not all of your chunks are subject to this Warning. A corrupted rootdbs chunk should have rendered the Instance as non-viable.

Scratch that. If Andreas says it's a defect, then that's what it is.
