One issue I recall was related to the lack of coordination between the IBM support/install teams Cloud Pak for Data System (CPDS) and Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D). Basically, once a customer agrees to an upgrade, we ask them to create a support case. Since this customer has a CPDS. We started the upgrade there, then immediately after CPDS upgrade is completed, the CP4D support team was supposed to be ready and complete the CP4D install. But, for this customer, the CP4D support engineer was not available for another week or two. Having CPDS at one release level incompatible with the older CP4D release, the customer could not use the cluster. Customer then attempted to follow the installation script and complete the install. Unfortunately, the install script documentation had gaps and outdated steps.
