    What exactly is "Wazi as a service" ?

    i.e.  Is it z/os running under z/Vm ?

    Or is it an actual (private) LPAR ?

    If not an LPAR, which IBM service IS a private / dedicated LPAR ?

    Wazi as a Service is z/OS running in an IBM Cloud Virtual Server Instance (VSI).  It is not running on z/VM, but it is a virtualized guest. See   https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/wazi-aas/1.0.0?topic=vpc-z-hypervisor-as-service-zhypaas-overview for more details.

    Next question :  What exactly is  "zHYPaaS"  ?

    Is it an "internal IBM program"  only ?,  or is it a product available to customers ?

    Are there any docs for it ?

    "Wazi as a service" is a cloud-based service offered by IBM that provides access to z/OS mainframe operating system environments for development and testing purposes. It is not an actual LPAR, but rather a virtualized environment running on IBM Z hardware. Users can access the environment through a web-based interface or an API, and can spin up and down instances as needed. IBM does offer private and dedicated LPARs as well, which are physical partitions on the mainframe hardware that can be used for production workloads or other dedicated purposes.
