Thank you to everyone who joined our "What's New in LSF 10 Service Pack 12" webinar.

    The webinar covered:
    • Changes to the default security settings in SP12
    • Support for NVIDIA Multi Instance GPU (MIG) on A100 (and other GPU's)
    • Resource Connector enhancements for Google Cloud
    • Quick Deployment capabilities on IBM Cloud
    • Features that we plan to deprecate.

The recording of the session and the slides can be found here.  The transcript of the Q&A is below. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reply to this post.

And finally, just a reminder that the next webinar will be on 16th September and the details can be found here.

    1. Theoretical case: Cluster across 2 time zones will yield more than 5 minutes time differences. Any solution?
Time zone difference is not an issue. As long as the epoch time difference between the two sites are within 5 minutes, it's fine.

    2. Can LSF cluster with FP12 still work with RTM 10.1.0.6?
Yes, but you will need to turn off the security enhancements.

    3. Will LSF support other MIG enabled GPUs, like the A30 (or future models to come)?
Yes, the same functionality works on other models of GPU that support MIG

    4. For MultiCluster installations - do you have to turn off the new security nhancements if you have clusters running at different FP levels?
You either need to upgrade each cluster at the same time, or turn set the security settings to their SP11 values (ie off).
