o365 SMTP: 0auth (basic authentication is disabled)

    I'm trying to get sending of email to work. I found a thread with a ton of information which should help (I haven't succeeded yet).

    But what I'm more curious about is the following. The documentation describes basic authentication (or using SendGrid). Microsoft has/is turning off basic authentication. I was wondering if someone has configured the email to use an office app so you can use tenant id, client secrect information etc to send the mail with office365? You use the app to connect, and a configured mailbox to send the mail from that mailbox.
