  • 1.  TM1 Server not visible in PAW

    Dear all,

    we have a problem with PAW: TM1 Servers were not displayed in Data Pane. 

    We are using integrated security (CAM), Architect, TM1Web, TM1 Applications are all working correctly. In PAW Administration, Server shows up after validating. TM1 Server is visible in PAW Administration (Agent) and can be restarted etc. Its just missing in the data tab.

    Any ideas how to solve that issue?

    HI Scott,

    it is a new install on a new Environment. We are using PA 2.0.9 and PAW 2.0.52.

    Strange behavior:
    - On Dev, everything is fine
    - On next stage (exactly the same install + configuration steps and setup), Servers are not visible.

    We found a workaround: Export Books from DEV to Stage2. Then existing books display the tm1 server under data. But still, no servers in new books. Regardless of browser (IE, Chrome, FF).

    Glad we have a Workaround, but still strange.

    Hi,

    I have been having this issue on one of my servers since installing 53.   Are you opening new books as free form or as templates?  I had more luck having the databases show up if I used templates.   I have a support ticket open with IBM and they are currently looking into the issue.

    Hi Frederik,

    By any chance, do you have multiple environments which are configured to the same Planning Analytics Workspace? For example, do you have a Dev and another environment like Prod both pointing to the same PAW? 

    Unsure if this is the case, but if so, you would need to ensure that the TM1 databases are uniquely name if they exist in both environment. For example, if you have a TM1 database called "Plan" in Dev, it will need to be called something different in Prod, otherwise only the first one will started will show up in PAW.

    Let me know if this is what's happening.

    Hi Robert,

    ... this is not the case. We have different environments, each has its own PAW instance.

    Tonight, we are going to set up production environment. This gives us the chance to see whether the issue can be reproduced on a new install.
