Hi Paul,
My qiestion was related to the fact that when you have no active connection, you cant see the exploration query definition (which is MDX). As example, I have an old PAX file, pointing to an obsolete model, all I neeed is to see how the data query was defined, so I can use this definition as a starting point for something else.
I'd let IBM guys to answer this, I am sure there is a way to see the query definition from a hidded spreadsheet or so...
Kind Regards
Alex.

I think you a bit out of luck... Need to cube to pull the data.
If you already have the data within Excel, then you will have to use Excel based functions.

Is there a way to see/update an MDX fo exploration in PAX _without_ connecting to the cube/server?
Scenario: a cube not available on the server anymore, but need to rebuild the same report by tweaking the mdx.
