We are experiencing the same thing in 11.1.4. The email address is preceded by the user ID.
Support parked our issue against the same APAR and advised a fix is planned for 11.1.6.
BTW, APAR descriptions often don't tell the whole story or list all the symptoms of the defect. This is the reason IBM cited for no longer publishing a fix list (instead of improving how they document APAR descriptions), much to our disappointment.
Best wishes,
Wendi

@TREVOR COMEAU
How can Tech Support help?
Besides, the description in the APAR specifies that the full name is used... we are getting Network ID..

@Richard Mabjish - I just looked at the APAR and I do not see any escalations for R4 or R5.
Support would be able to assist with such a request based on the APAR number in the thread.

Hello All.
we are testing C11.1.5, we are noticing this same issue still exists in this new release!
All email coming out of Cognos show the network ID of sender, instead of sender's name or sender's email address...
For us this is also a security risk. Anyone knows of a workaround?

Thanks for the comment, sadly for my case the full name is the name of the person (which should be good too) but is not using that, is using the User ID

It sends perfect in my end after migrated from 11.1.3 to 11_1_4. I noticed only one difference. If you search the user name to add it to the email box, it will open as a full name. I modified the full name to username@domain.edu.

Hi,
Recently we upgraded from 11.1.2 to 11.1.4 successfully, but today an issue was reported that when an output is sent from Cognos by email, the sender now looks different: instead of showing like previously the email (E.g. jlg@company.com) now shows the internal user name (E.g. U11111) which is not descriptive and also is making the emails going to Junk Folder. Any way to revert to put the email as sender?
Thanks!
