You need to remove the Everyone Group from the System Administrators Group and verify it's also not in the Analytics Administrators Group.
It's there by default on a new install so the default cognos user has full System Admin privileges.
** BEFORE REMOVING IT **, make sure you have at least one account to be the System Admin the Analytics Administrators Group and keep that group in the System Administrators Group.
We're currently jiggling our security groups to comply with the "latest" licensing and so are utilizing the Analytics Explorers and Analytics Users groups for the majority of our user base. They're in several groups including Readers so you may find that after removing the Everyone group from System Admin that they don't have ENOUGH privileges. If that's the case try putting them in these two other groups - depending on your licensing entitlements with IBM.

Yes, I have removed Everyone from Readers, but I am not sure do I have to remove it from all the others groups?

Have you disabled the Everyone group?

Subject: Problem with Cognos standard roles
Hi, I have created new user and add it as a member in to Cognos standard roles - Readers, because I want to this user only run and create outputs of some reports. But the problem is that when I log in as that user, he still can do everything else, create reports. go to administration ....and I do not know what am I doing wrong. Tnx
