  • 1.  PAX 41 Feature Update - Save Exploration Views to PAW Content Store?

    Hi Everyone,

I've just upgraded both PAW and PAX to Version 41. In the features update for PAX, it mentions that Exploration views can be saved to the PAW Content Store vs. TM1 Server.  However, I can't seem to get it working.

Per the IBM documentation, you need to manually enable features in the tm1features.json file. That didn't exist in my C:\<user profile path>\Cognos\Office Connection folder, so I created it and followed the directions, but still no luck.
    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSD29G_2.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.ug_cxr.2.0.0.doc/r_pax_tm1features.html

I like the idea of being able to save full MDX views with asymmetric selections, PAW calculations, headers, etc. Although, I do think the PAW homepage will quickly be cluttered with orange view tiles. It'd be nice to have a better option available than having to move the views to a separate folder. Has this been discussed internally?

It would be great if IBM guys can provide some info/instructions on how to enable this feature (saving from PAX to PAW content store).

    Thank you
    Alex.

It looks like IBM pulled this feature from PAX 41. The documentation has been updated to reflect that the only "new" feature in PAX 41 is Constrained Calculations. Hopefully we'll see the PAW Content Store in the next release of PAX!
