  • 1.  Cognos - "no data available"

    I'm just learning how to create reports in Cognos Analytics.  Took learning course on it, everything worked for me as it should in the hands on lesson.  Now trying to create reports at work - every report I try to create tells me "no data available" when I run the report to review.  Even if I only choose employee names as one column only, it shows me no data available.  Am I missing something?  Do I need different permissions settings or something?  I do payroll 3 times a month so I know there's data there, but it's not pulling into Cognos for me.

    Good morning Denny, 

    Thanks so much for your response.  We were guessing it is a permissions issue, but my boss doesn't know which permission is missing.  He's been in there checking and says he thinks I have all the permissions that he
    knows of in order to run payroll/HR reports in Cognos Analytcis.  

    Is this something you can look at on your end and let me know which permission I'm missing?
