  • 1.  Remove -en-gb from exported output

Hi - apologies if this is a trivial question, or if it's been answered before...I've looked and I can't find an answer. When I run a report and burst it to an external file, the filename has '-en-gb' appended to it.

For example, I've specified that the output should be in CSV format and be called despatches. I was expecting to see despatches.csv as the filename, but instead I'm getting despatches-en-gb.csv

I can't see any options to prevent that happening - am I missing something obvious? Any help or guidance you can give me would be great.

    Cheers,
    Chris

I know you are not alone in this request, but I don't believe that this is possible (or at least it wasn't when I was looking to resolve this).

What I do to overcome this, is run a ,bat file over the directory that you are storing the output which renames the file "extension" -en-gb.csv (in my case -en-us.csv) to .csv

In the job that runs the burst report, I usually add at the end a very quick report that creates a dummy output finish.csv file, the .bat file monitors for this and only moves forwards when it exists.  Therefore, my renaming only takes place when all the burst output is created.  Then, the .bat file will delete the finish file.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, we checked for this with IBM recently for CA 11.1.x as well. Currently this is not possible. Only way currently is to use external program for renaming the files.
