  • 1.  LSF - O/S process Priority - is it possible to change?

    Hello!

We have a Windows install of LSF.

I notice that the jobs are executed with a Windows priority level of Very Low.

Details of Priority groups, levels, etc can be seen here:
    Scheduling Priorities - Win32 apps

I did not notice any documentation from LSF if that can be configured.

Perhaps this is something that is more of a Windows question?

    Regards,
    Alan

You may try to set NICE value in queue configuration, LSF should map NICE value to different priority on Windows (I don't have detail though).

If my memory serves me right, if you set the nice to 0 at the queue level, it should increase the priority.  You should give that a try.  I thought 20 was very low, but 0 would set to normal or above.  My memory fails me.
